Cania Cliff 1 | Fine Art Reproduction
These four individual works are my take on the overarching cliff face you see at the Cania Gorge Picnic area. When I was little I can remember pitching a tent there with my Aunty, Uncle and cousins and sleeping for days along that stretch of grass. (Perhaps I’m just showing my age now!).
Each piece is a small section of cliff face viewed through the trees. I started at one end, and walked the entire picnic area to gather these 4 images. They are not connected in real-life, but once I started painting them, they all merged into one flowing landscape.
These were a challenge! I had never worked this small in my life. Nor spent so much time insisting on adding in details. I am not a very patient painter! However, I was thrilled with the result. They all share similar colour tones as they were all worked on at the same time. And there is a LOT of layers here!
